The schooling in other countries has smaller objectives and standards are direct in what it is exactly that the students should learn. In the United States, the objectives are repeated as a student moves up in grade levels. Take for instance Fractions from the third grade on up it is retaught in many ways that will confuse students or they will get bored with it. In other countries, a subject is fully taught for a short period. I would probably change my teaching in a way that relates more to the level of the students and if a child does not learn what is being taught, I would let them stand up or take 15-minute breaks when I see that my students are getting frustrated or getting glossy eyes.
