Philosophical Overview

The following diagram provides an overview of some of the major philosophical schools, philosophers, and curriculum scholars. Please note that such a "picture" of the historical philosophical lineages is very messy. Scholars continue to argue about who influenced whom and how specific ideas are situated within these philosophical schools. So, this diagram is a tentative and somewhat sketchy overview. Hopefully, it will provide a feel for the complexity of our curricular history.
